In the months leading up to IGNITE!, the Youth Panel hosts a variety of workshops for young people! They’re all free and totally awesome.
11:00 am – 2:00 pm Saturday April 7th @ 1885 Venables St.
We invite you to a unique workshop offered by Paras Terezakis from Kinesis Dance! The workshop will teach you how to use your whole body to articulate yourself and how to tell a story through movement and sound. You will also learn how to become aware of the relationship of space and time to your body. Come and explore a variety of interpretations – emotional, physical, and dramatic – of different movement styles. Picture minimalist repetition contrasted with the beauty of intricate fast paced movement all while exploring physical expression towards more effective communication. This one of a kind experience allows you to feel what it truly like to be present in your own body. However, space is limited to a maximum of 20 participants so reserve your place as soon as possible because you don’t want to miss out!
If interested, please send your name and age to dance@igniteyouthfest.com!
