Every year, the Young Playwrights Festival sees three original one-act plays brought to the Cultch’s stage as part of the IGNITE! Youth Festival. Dozens of young people become involved every year. There are tons of ways to become involved. Modelling this year from the previous one, we’ve combined the YPF with our mentorship program to make the experiences even richer for those involved.
Direct a play: You will be given a one-act play, a modest budget, rehearsal space and mentorship with a professional director in order to bring a professional-level production to the Cultch’s stage. Click here for full application and program details.

Act in a play: Here is your opportunity to perform at The Cultch in an original youth-driven production. Please email Youth Program Manager, Robert Leveroos (robert@thecultch.com) before March 4th, to sign up for an audition time.
